In the field of Higher education, exchanges have strongly developed. The City of Clermont-Ferrand and University Blaise Pascal have signed a cooperation agreement to develop the LCE licence, Brasilian and Portuguese Studies, Media and Cultural Mediation

The Pole of International Relations has recently signed a partnership with Braga Exhibition Park in the goal to develop exchanges in the economic sector. As well, technological and scientific innovation collaborations are starting.

Exchange in the field of sport and culture between the two cities are regular. As Clermont-Ferrand is the second largest Portuguese city in France after Paris, associations from Clermont-Ferrand are playing an important part in this partnership. The Saint-Jean Feast organised by “Os Camponeses Minhotos” has become the celebration of all city inhabitants.
